James William Eckhardt, 68, Inverness passed away at home on Aug. 13, 2015 following a lengthy illness. Jim was born in Aurora, IL on April 24, 1947 to the late Frederick and June (Oneson) Eckhardt and spent much of his childhood in that area before moving to Florida. He was a retired Financial Planner and practiced in Pasco and Pinellas County. After moving to Inverness, he was employed by the former South Trust Bank and Barnett Bank. Jim and his wife enjoyed traveling, scuba diving, and riding their motorcycles. They especially enjoyed diving in the Keys where they were married 21 years ago.
Jim is survived by his wife Lynn Eckhardt of Inverness and his sister, Karen Bowler and her husband, Jim of Schaumburg, IL. Jim’s father passed away in 2007 and his mother in 1996.
At Jim’s request, there will be no services. Following cremation, his ashes will be spread in one of his favorite locations.
