Donald R Gronauer

Donald R. Gronauer, 94, of Inverness, Florida passed away July 18, 2015 at New Horizons ALF in Inverness. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 8, 1920 to the late Frederick and Mable (Blattermane) Gronauer. Donald was in Expeditor in the construction industry, and a very avid and talented golfer; making numerous holes-in-one. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, and a member of the Unity Church in Lee Summit, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his brother Fred Gronauer. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Kathryn Gronauer of Inverness. Other survivors include his children John (Emily Harris) Gronauer of Brooksville, FL, and Janice (Gerald) Goodwin of Dunedin, FL; 4 grandsons and 5 great-grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors is scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2015 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464. Arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
