Edward M Smith

Edward M. Smith, 89, of Inverness, Florida passed away June 7, 2015 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. He was born on August 27, 1925 in Princess Anne, MD to the late William T. and Minnie (Kilmon) Smith. Edward was a U.S. Navy veteran, and a welder for the City of Ft. Lauderdale. He was Nazarene by faith, and arrived in this area in 2005, coming from Oakland Park, FL. Edward enjoyed arts and crafts, welding, and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Smith, in 1991. Survivors include his children Edward M. Smith, Jr. of Fishing Creek, MD, Fred Smith and David Smith, both of Baca Raton, FL, Sandra Nicholson of Rockawalkin, MD, and Kathy Derby of Maryland; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a niece, Janet Travis. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
