Catherine J. Martin

CATHERINE JEAN MARTIN, age 86, Hernando, went to be with her Lord on May 5, 2015 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Jean was born on August 7, 1928 in Highland, NY to the late DeGroodt and Agnes Gladys (Rhoades) Mead. She was a homemaker and also worked in the real estate business. Jean was an avid golfer, enjoyed reading, bridge and was an accomplished painter. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 68 years, William Martin; daughters Marilyn Jean (Conrad) Yantz, Marlboro, NY and Sally Jane (John) Mirakian, Beverly Hills, FL; brother Richard (Rosetta) Mead, Hernando; granddaughters Kelly, Susan, Katrina, Holly, Korinne, Carrie and Laura; 12 great-grandchlidren. She was preceded in death by a brother Peter Mead, sisters Carrie Mancuso ,Ann Yeaple and a great-grandson, William. A Requiem Eucharistic will be offered on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.
