Raymond M Coons

RAYMOND M. COONS, age 72, Floral City, died April 4, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. A native Floridian, Ray was born on April 20, 1942 in Sarasota, FL to the late Raymond E. Coons and Myrtle Rose (Johnson) Coons. Throughout his working career, he owned and operated his own feed store and during his retirement years, worked for the Division of Forestry as a gatekeeper in the Croom, Sumter County, Florida area. Ray was an accomplished fisherman, enjoyed boating and woodworking. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 10 years, Lela Coons; son, Garrett and his wife Emma Coons, Myakka City, FL; his daughter Stacy Arnold, Floral City, FL; grandchildren Heather, Stephanie, Julie, Sareese and Christopher; great-grandchildren Sylvia, Caleb and Haylee. He was preceded in death by brothers Clayton and Arthur Albritton. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private arrangements.
