JAMES EPHFRIAM SMITH, age 85, Floral City, went to be with his Lord on March 16, 2015 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. James was born on February 18, 1930 in Georgia. He served our country in the United States Navy for 30 years, retiring as a Master Chief Petty Officer. A man who loved his Lord, he devoted many hours studying the Word of God. His wife Ellie is a gifted singer and he enjoyed listening to her. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 4 years, Ellie Southam-Smith, sisters Ruby Lee Henry and Sue Henry; brother-in-law Rudy Schweitz, sisters-in-law Gloria Schweitz and Carm Schweitz; two grandchildren, Shannon Edwards and Shawn Dennis and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Rosalie Smith. A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Hwy 44 Church of God. Burial with military honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery. If family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Citrus and Nature Coast, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464 in lieu of flowers.
