WILLIAM “TOM” BRIERLY, age 78, died March 15, 2015 under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus and Nature Coast. Tom was born on December 7, 1936 in Jefferson County, IN to the late William S. Brierly and Lillie B. (Plowman) Brierly. He served our country in the United States Army. Tom was employed as a heavy equipment operator for a rock quarry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. Tom was a member of the VFW, Eagles and American Legion in his native state of Indiana. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 18 years, Estelita “Esther” Brierly; son Thomas Brierly, KY; daughter Debbie Law, Christine Lanham, Rose Lynn Harmon, all of IN and Anabel Brierly of Inverness; stepson Ronald Olson, AZ; stepdaughters Girly Ingco, IN, Annalisa Wilson, MS, Joslyn Malttasan, WI and brothers Leon Brierly, Inverness; sisters LaVerne Hamilton, KY, Della Margaret Carrico, Inverness; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Orville and Ronald and a sister, Christine Dunn. A Funeral Service of Remembrance and tribute to Tom’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Florida National Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations in Tom’s memory to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464 in lieu of flowers.
