James H Swain

James H. Swain, 76, of Inverness, Florida passed away Feb. 16, 2015. He was born on March 26, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Paul and Edna Helen (Hosea) Swain. James was a U.S. Army veteran, and owner of the Spring Valley Campground in Middletown, IN. He arrived in this area in 2000, coming from Middletown, and was a Christian by faith. James was an avid gardener and landscaper, and enjoyed sculpting, woodworking, and genealogy. James was a member of the American Legion Post #77, Inverness. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Paul F. and Joseph A. Swain. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patsy J. Swain. Other survivors include daughters Sheri (Kathy) Swain of Silver Spring, MD, Shelli Bailey of Indianapolis, IN, and Staci Baker of Inverness, FL; 4 grandchildren Brittni, Zachery, Heather, and Stefani; and 1 great-granddaughter, Lillian. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Legion Post #77, 4375 Little Al Point, Inverness, FL, 34452. Private cremation arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
