PAUL ALDOLFE TAPPERSON, Jr., age 74, of Inverness, died February 13, 2015 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. A native Floridian, Paul was born on March 8, 1940 in Miami Beach, FL to the late Paul A. Tapperson, Sr. and Ermeldine (Peeples) Tapperson. He served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. Paul retired as a police officer in Pompano Beach with over 21 years of service. He enjoyed photography and was an avid NASCAR fan. Paul liked watching his grandson race in his Go-Kart. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 39 years, Carolyn Tapperson; sons Scott (Wanda) Tapperson of Port St. Lucie and Todd (Laura) Tapperson of Ocala; five grandchildren, Kenneth, Ashley, Stephen, Peyton and Morgan; his sister Sigrid Meriwether, Temple Terrace, FL, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. A graveside military committal service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
