Thomas Conrad Breidenstein, 88, of Inverness, Florida passed away February 13, 2015 under the care of Hospice of Citrus County, Inverness. He was born in Roosevelt, New York on July 17, 1926 to the late Thomas A. and Alice (Mattson) Breidenstein. Thomas was employed by Gruman Aircraft for 37 years as a Avionics Technician, and was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran. He arrived in this area in 1987 coming from East Islip, New York, and was a Catholic by faith. Thomas was a member of the Citrus Memorial SHARE Club, and enjoyed flying radio controlled airplanes, golfing, watching football, artistic painting and playing the clarinet. He was also an avid reader. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Teresa Breidenstein. Other survivors include children Thomas (Marjorie) Breidenstein of Bluffton, SC, Richard E. (Caren) Breidenstein of Columbia, MD, and Linda Ann (James) Rossi of Inverness; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate Thomas’s life on Wednesday, 12:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness. Afterwards, there will be a funeral procession to Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL where military honors will be rendered in recognition of Thomas’s service to our country.
