PAUL C. LATHAN, age 85, Lecanto, died February 12, 2015 at his residence under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Paul was born on June 7, 1929 in Warsaw, NY to the late Harold and Jessiemay (Dutton) Lathan. He served our country in the United States Navy. Paul was the owner/operator of his own appliance sales and service business. He was a member of the Rotary Club in Avon, NY from 1971-1991, serving as President and was the recipient of the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Award. He enjoyed boating, especially in the Finger Lakes in New York and the Rideau Canal in Ontario, Canada. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be deeply missed by all of those fortunate enough to have known him. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years, Rosemarie Lathan; his son Mark (Dora) Lathan, Lecanto, FL; his daughter Colleen Delaney, Crystal River, FL; his brother James Lathan, Rochester, NY; his sister Helen Hussey, Geneseo, NY; four grandchildren, Molly (Jason) Falcone, Mandy (Kyle) Smith, Brice and Melanie Delaney and two great-grandchildren Julia Falcone and Kaitlyn Smith. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy, his beloved dog Roy and many other of his critters. A graveside military committal service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
