Jean V Hays

Jean V. Hays, 88, of Inverness, Florida passed away January 12, 2015 at Hospice of Citrus County, Inverness. She was born on November 18, 1926 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Clyde and Lorene (Matney) Litton. Jean was owner/operator of her own gift shop, and arrived in this area in 1987, coming from St. Petersburg, FL. She was a Methodist by faith, a volunteer for the Citrus United Basket for over 10 years, and held several offices in the Ladies Auxiliary of Eugene Quinn, VFW Post 4337, Inverness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Sterling A. Hays in 2011, and one daughter, Sandra Jean Hays. Survivors include her children Gary (Kim) Hays of Inverness, Roger (Judy) Hays of Tallahassee, FL, and Linda (Ed) Hock of Inverness; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
