ROBERT JESSE MERGL, age 60, Inverness, died December 26, 2014 under the care of HPH Hospice. Robert was born on June 1, 1954 in Ridgewood, NJ to the late Charles A. and Ruth M. (Peterman) Mergl. He was employed as a telephone company cable splicer. Robert was an avid NASCAR racing fan. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Amanda (Gary) Rhinehart, Port Jervis, NY and Jessica (Robert) George, Monroe, NY; brothers Joseph G. Mergl, NJ and his twin brother William P. Mergl, Inverness; grandchildren Eila, Bethany, Aaron and Lila. He was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn. A celebration and tribute to Robert’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory.
