NORMAN EDWARD CROOK, age 72, died November 28, 2014. Norman was born on June 17, 1942 in Nimitz, WV to the late James P. and Wanda (Cole) Crook. Norman served our country in the United States Army. An entrepreneur, Norman owned and operated his own coal mine in West Virginia, as well as working in real estate and R.V. sales in Florida. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching sports, especially Florida State University and West Virginia University. He also liked going antiquing. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years, Patricia Crook; his son Kent Crook and grandsons Chance (Jenny) Crook of Wildwood, FL and Roman Harvey of Wakiva Springs, FL; daughter Michelle (Nathan) Connor and their children Jordan and Ashton of Inverness; great-grandchildren Maverick, Maddox, Chloe and Macklin; his brother Russell (Barbara) Crook, Floral City, Brice Crook, White Oak, WV and sister Deborah (Jeff) Robinson, Mt. Clemmons, MI. He was predeceased by two brothers, Lewis and Myles Crook. He will be deeply missed by his family and the many friends he made throughout his lifetime. A celebration and tribute to Norman’s life will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. The family will receive friends in visitation from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in Norman’s memory.
