Billy Lee Van Dyke, 92, Inverness, FL passed away Nov 22, 2014 at the Hospice Unit of Citrus Memorial Hospital (Hospice of Citrus County). Mr. Van Dyke was born in Anderson, IN on Oct. 28, 1922 to the late Lawrence and Pearl (Nichols) Van Dyke and came to this area in 1989 from Barnsville, GA. Billy served our country in United States Army Air Corp for three years during WWII. He was a retired Fireman with the Anderson, IN Fire Department with 21 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Francine Van Dyke, Inverness; 5 sons, Jay (Debra) Van Dyke, Lecanto, FL; Jerry (Jupe) Van Dyke, Panama City, FL; Michael Van Dyke and Steven Van Dyke, both of Inverness, FL; David (Julie) Van Dyke, Middletown , IN; 1 Sister, Sue Ann Garretson, Alexandria, IN; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas and Jack.
Cremation arrangments are private. His urn will be laid to rest at a later date in Anderson Memorial Park, Anderson, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Citrus Co., PO Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34465
