Albin “Al” Kaimer, age 81, The Villages, died peacefully November 19, 2014 surrounded by his loving family and friends at The Villages Regional Hospital. Al, was born on February 5, 1933 in Bridgeport, CT to the late Albert and Jennie (Gribko) Kaimer. He served our country in the United States Army. Al was employed as a lead man for Sikorski Aircraft in Stratford, CT for over 38 years. He enjoyed gardening and fishing, playing cards with his many friends and was known around his community as a handyman. Al was a faithful and devoted member of St. Raphael’s Orthodox Church in Inverness, where he was actively involved in many of the parishes projects. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 57 years, Helen Kaimer; sons Albin (Carol) Kaimer, Jr., Brookfield, CT, Paul (Sheila) Kaimer, New Port Richey, FL, Joseph (Tracy) Kaimer, Seth, WV; daughters Katherine (Greg) Chase, Milford, CT and Daria (Paul) Vonstein; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter Tamara Kristof. A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at St. Ralphael Orthodox Church in Inverness with Fr. Sergious Gerken officiating. The family will receive friends in visitation and for Trisagion Service on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 5:00 PM at the church. Further services and burial will be under the care of Adzima Funeral Home in Stratford, CT. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is in charge of local arrangements. Donations to St. Raphael’s Orthodox Church are appreciated in lieu of flowers.
