Adelaide Brennan, 88, of Hernando, FL passed away March 25 2016 under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Inverness, FL. She was born on October 30, 1927 in Welfare Island, NY to the late Nathan and Emily (Stackler) Brennan.
Adelaide was a seamstress, and arrived in this area in 1985, coming from Staten Island, NY. She was a Catholic by faith, and loved spending time with her family, cooking, and enjoying her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, John E. Bowcock, Sr., 3 sons, Michael, Glenn and Gary Bowcock; 2 brothers, Frank and John Gustaveno; and 3 sisters, Rita Tanzosh, Marie Brennan, and Irene Van Pelt. Survivors include sons John (Mary) Bowcock of Manassas, VA, Daniel (Sheri) Bowcock of Hernando, FL, Steven (Carrie) Bowcock of Tampa, FL, Warren Bowcock of Staten Island, NY and Wayne Bowcock of Hernando FL; daughters Joann Pirrella of Dunnellon, FL and Lauri (Peter) Pepe of Palm Bay, FL, and sister Pauline Gibbons; 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, 10:00 A.M. at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL, with burial to follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City, FL. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday, between the hours of 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
