Barry Muir Johnston, 81, of Inverness, Florida passed away September 9, 2014 at Arbor Trail Health & Rehab, Inverness. He was born on January 31, 1933 in Philipsburg, PA to the late Clifford A. and Vivian R. (Muir) Johnston. Barry was a retired attorney who was employed for 40 years by Dillon, Bitar & Luther, Attys. in Morristown, NJ. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and arrived in this area in 1998, coming from Long Valley, NJ. and enjoyed birds and nature. Barry was preceded in death by a son, Marc Johnston. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Olivia Johnston. Other survivors include children Matthew Johnston of Long Valley, NJ, Laura Elliott of Inverness, Ramona (Joel) Ferrell of Jacksonville, FL; sister Marilyn (Bob) Wisor of Orlando, FL; grandchildren Candace, Pamela, Saura, Amanda, Marc, Vanessa, Nathaniel, and Steven; and great-grandchildren Vincent, Memphis, and Bristol. As per Barrys’ wishes, his remains will be donated to science. Private arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
