ROBERT JAMES FRITZ, age 90, Inverness, died September 2, 2014 surrounded by his loving family and under the care of the staff of Arbor Trail. Robert was born on June 25, 1924 in Bangor, WI to the late Hugo and Mila (Staats) Fritz. He served our country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and good friend, who enjoyed helping people. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed being out in nature, hunting and fishing. He was an excellent woodworker and made many beautiful gifts for his family and friends. He enjoyed trash-to-treasures hunting. Robert was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Deerfield Beach, serving in many of the ministries. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, Barbara Fritz, daughters Kay M. Foreman, Lacrosse, WI, Tina M. Fritz, Inverness; Lori A. (Steven) Donovan, Dunedin and Kelly R. Fritz, Montreal, Canada; grandchildren Shannon (Danny) Mills, Morgan Donovan and Mynah Fritz-Nelson; sister Jeanne Corbett; many numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by sisters Ruby Montgomery, and Ellen Huston. A tribute and celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with military honors. Inurnment will be at the Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
