Barbara E. Smith, 62, Inverness, died Aug 22, 2014 at Shand’s Teaching Hospital in Gainesville. Mrs Smith was born in Amityville, NY on May 26, 1952 to Frank and Florence (Hirsch) Hetzel. She moved here in 1980 from Lindenhurst, NY. She was a waitress and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Justin of San Franciso, CA and Lindsey Murphy of Inverness; two brothers, Daniel and Robert Hetzel and her sister, Carolyn Gainsbury; 1 grandchild, Bailee Murphy.
Cremation arrangements are private. Chas E Davis Funeral Home With Crematory.
