Elmer F. “Toby” Croft, 88, of Inverness, FL passed away July 28, 2014 under the loving care of Families Come First, followed by Hospice of Citrus County, Lecanto, FL. He was born on March 4, 1926 in Hazelwood, PA. to the late Frank and Helen Maude (Stahl) Croft. Toby was the owner of Croft Heating & Air Conditioning in North Huntingdon, PA, and arrived in this area in 1995, coming from North Huntingdon. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, having fought in the European Theater. Toby enjoyed flying, fishing, and boating. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Lori Harris, and his brother Hank Croft. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elfriede Croft. Other survivors include children Larry (Patricia) Croft of Inverness, Linda Sanders of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Tracey (Alan), Lorin, Roxanne (Eugene), Jason (Cecilia), and Michelle; and two great-grandchildren Abby and Gerard. A Memorial Honor Guard Service will be scheduled at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. at a later date. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, is in charge of arrangements.
