MICHAEL P. KELLEY, age 65, died July 24, 2014 surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice of Citrus County. Michael was born on November 16, 1948 in Detroit, MI, the son of Douglas and Dorothy (Bandemer) Kelley. He was a truck mechanic for a construction company. Michael loved being in the outdoors and enjoyed boating, riding his Harley Davidson, racing dune buggies and snowmobiling in his native State of Michigan. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Flat Rock, MI. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 24 years, Tena Kelley; his father Douglas Kelley, Beulah, MI; sons Mike Kelley, New Boston, MI and Eric (Delite) Kelley, Umatilla, FL; his daughter Misty (Rick) Purves, Taylor, MI; stepsons Tim Wert, Haines City, FL and Steven Wert, Winter Haven, FL; brother Glenn Kelley, Tallahassee, FL; sister Sharon Athens, Riverview, MI; half-brother Douglas Kelley and half-sister Maureen Kelley, both of Michigan; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Dorothy. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private arrangements.
