Rev Roy A Fiske

THE REV. ROY ALBION FISKE, age 91, Inverness, died July 15, 2014 at his residence under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Roy was born on February 20, 1923 in Wilmington, MA to the late Albion W. and Edith (Pope) Fiske. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Florida Southern College in 1953, and studied at Emory University Candler School of Theology, receiving his Bachelor’s Degree of Divinity. He served the ministry in several Florida churches in the United Methodist Conference for over 25 years. He attended First United Methodist Church of Inverness after relocating to this area in 2006 from Lutz, FL. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 66 years, Marjorie (Smith) Fiske; sons Barry M. Fiske and wife Gail, Inverness, Darrell N. Fiske, MD, and wife Joanne, Palm City, FL, Gregory L. Fiske and wife Carole, Brandon, FL; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, two brothers and one sister.

Pastor Fiske’s life will be celebrated on Sunday, July 20th, 3:00 PM at Chas E Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Oliver of the First United Methodist Church of Tarpon Springs officiating. Burial will follow on Monday at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa. Friends will visit the family on Sunday at the funeral home from 2:30 until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials are being received by Hospice of Citrus County or the Methodist Children’s Home.
