BOBBY GENE HANCOCK, age 74, Inverness, died July 1, 2014 at Shands at UF with his family by his side. A native Floridian, Bobby was born in Inverness on September 29, 1939 to the late Cleveland and Estelle (Wiley) Hancock. He served our country in the United States Navy. Bobby was a commercial tile contractor. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #354 in Melbourne. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, airboating and golfing. He was the Colorado State champion in motocross in the over 50 age category. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 47 years, Patsy S. Hancock; sons Michael S. (Rita) Hancock, Colorado Springs, CO and Mark W. Hancock, Mt. Dora, FL; daughter Catherine G. Larson, Columbia, SC; grandchild Jennifer Todd and three great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Jonathan and Abigail. A celebration and tribute to Bobby’s life will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. The family will receive friends in visitation from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Please consider donations in Bobby\’s memory to Make A Wish Foundation in lieu of flowers.
