Edward J Cook

Edward J. Cook, 91, of Inverness, Florida passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Hospice of Citrus County in Inverness. He was born on May 10, 1923 in Greene, New York to the late Claude F. and Mildred (Talbott) Cook. Edward was a gasoline company truck driver, and arrived in this area in 1988, coming from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He attended Bethel Baptist Church, and was a crossing guard, as well as a volunteer for the Citrus County Sheriff’s Department Crime Watch. Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Esther Cook. Other survivors include children Daniel (Donna) Cook and LuAnn (Rudy) Ramirez, all of Hendersonville, North Carolina; brothers Leroy and Jack Cook; 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Leo Cook. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 11:00 A.M. at the Bethel Baptist Church, Hernando, Florida. Chas. E Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, Florida, is in charge of arrangements.
