Dave W. Thompson, 68, of Crystal River, Florida passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at his residence in Crystal River. He was born on May 15, 1946 in De Funiak Springs, Florida to the late Barnett and Margie R. (Jackson) Thompson. Dave was a Registered Nurse by profession, and arrived in this area in 2011 from Blue Ridge, Georgia. He was a Baptist by faith, and enjoyed fishing, golfing, and cooking. He is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Brenda Thompson. Other survivors include children Alexander (Stacy) Thompson of Marietta, Georgia, Joshua Thompson of Murphy, North Carolina; stepchildren Scott M. (Chrystal) Reed of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Brandy (Jonathan) Fitzpatrick of Dahlonega, Georgia; siblings Richard B. Thompson, Twyla Thompson England, Cynthia Graves, and Belinda P. Bane; and 9 grandchildren. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, Florida.
