Jane A Valenzi

JANE A. VALENZI, age 73, Hernando left us on June 6, 2014 at her home surrounded by family members and under the care of Hospice of Citrus County. Jane was born in Kalamazoo, MI on September 3, 1940 to the late Arthur and Mary (Multhaupt) Barnes. In her earlier years she was an educator teaching High School English and Special Education, then later became a wife and mother. Jane was an avid golfer reaching a low handicap of 10, enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles, power walking, Mah Jongg and playing the slot machines. She had a quick wit and a beautiful smile for everyone she met, and rarely a harsh word. Her kind and generous spirit will be sorely missed by her husband of over 49 years, Enzo R. Valenzi; daughter Laura Valenzi (Chris Buell), Richmond, TX; brother William (Linda) Barnes, Kalamazoo, MI; niece Christina (Clif) Bloemendaal, Portage MI; Sister-in-law, Carmela (the late Robert) Valenzi, Clifton Park, NY; nephew Richard (Lorena) Valenzi, Lawrenceville, GA; niece Susan (Marc) Techman, Chittenango, NY; lifelong friend Sharon (John) Barry, Naples, FL and most cherished friend Patricia (Juan) Santa-Coloma, Miami, FL. In addition, she leaves behind a wonderful extended family primarily in the Kalamazoo, MI area. Jane was preceded in death by her 11-year-old son, Michael A. Valenzi, with whom it was her greatest desire to one day be reunited in Heaven. Private arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory.
