MARJORIE J. DILLING, Homosassa, passed away April 26, 2014 at Sugarmill Manor in Homosassa under HPH Hospice care. Marjorie was born on May 7, 1935 in Aliquippa, PA, the daughter of William and Myrtle Lytle. She worked in the medical field most of her life as a receptionist and a medical transcriptionist in Arizona, California, Ohio and Maryland. Marjorie and her husband Walter moved to Florida in 1993 from Middletown, MD. Marjorie was active in the Methodist Church, loved children and piano playing. Over the years she combined these passions by playing piano, leading children’s choir at three Methodist Churches. Marjorie was an avid seamstress making drapes for home and made most of her own clothes. She knitted sweaters for family and friends, but her passion was children. She made several large teddy bears and gave them to children. Marjorie liked ballroom and square dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronnie. She is survived by her loving husband Walter of Homosassa, FL, son Rob and his wife Elizabeth of Stow, MA, son Brad of Savannah, GA and brother Bill of Cocoa Beach, FL. A celebration of life will be conducted at a later date at the First Methodist Church in Homosassa, FL. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
