WILLIAM G. BROWN, age 79, Homosassa, went to be with his Lord on June 29, 2014 under the loving care of his family and HPH Hospice. Bill was born on November 28, 1934 in Muncie, IN to the late Russell E. and Bessie (Teboe) Brown. He served our country in the United States Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, retiring after 24 years with the rank of Master Sergeant. After his retirement from the Army, Bill pursued many other career avenues, as Food Service Manager for Citrus County School System, retiring with 20 years of service, as a professional barber, hair stylist and real estate agent. He was a member of Crystal River Church of God. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, reading and playing his guitar. He especially liked watching Pastor Jimmy Swaggert’s television ministry. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 25 years, Jo Ann Brown, daughters Becky Lynn (Willie) Sego, Lawton, OK, Janice Irene (Ronald) Coonrod, Michigan Town, IN, Teresa (Rex) Rusaw, Homosassa; sons Michael Hampton, Destin, FL and Steve (Frances) Johnson, Homosassa; brother Daniel E. Brown and sister Judy M. Brown, both of Lutz, FL; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Theil. A funeral service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Crystal River Church of God, 2180 NW 12th Ave, Crystal River, FL. The family invites friends to join them in visitation from 1:00 PM until the hour of service. Interment will be private at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. Flowers are accepted, however if friends wish, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to HPH Hospice, Citrus Office, 3545 N. Lecanto Hwy, Beverly Hills, FL 34465 in lieu of flowers.
