SAMUEL J. DI GUGLIELMO, “Sam D” age 73, died October 11, 2014 surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice of Citrus County. Sam was born on March 13, 1941 in Wilmington, DE, the son of the late Samuel J. and Caroline “Carrie” (Russo) Di Guglielmo. Sam served our country in the Army National Guard. He was a construction manager on many commercial and residential projects. Sam was a charter member of the Inverness Sertoma and also a member of CASA. Sam was also a distributor for the “BurnzOmatic”. He was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and was the leader of the Catholic Youth Group for many years. Sam loved fishing and the great outdoors. Sam was known for his love of cooking and especially love of eating.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Lori Di Guglielmo and her partner Karen Barnett of Tallahassee, Kristen (Douglas) Reichard, Inverness; and the light of his life, grandson Christopher Michael. Sam’s siblings include brothers Michael (Marie) Di Guglielmo, James Di Guglielmo and sister Carol Ann Lepore, as well as nieces and nephews, all of NJ. Bonus family members include Cindy Corcoran (Robert), grandsons David (Dawn), Elijah, Isaac, Noah and Seth. Sam was blessed to have great grands Colin, Sophie, Gemma and “Husband-in-Law” Carl Gene Coxwell. Sam was preceded in death by his first wife Stella and his second wife Jean. A tribute and celebration of life will be held at a later date at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Inverness.
