Henry Chester Jones, 69, Floral City, died Jan 31, 2014. Mr. Jones was born Aug 17, 1944 in Miami, FL to the late Roy and Bernice Jones and moved to Florida in 2001 from Ohio. He was a Vehicle Homicide Investigator for Palm Beach County Sheriffs Department and a member of the New Testament Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. Additionally, he was a Vietnam Vet, serving in the U.S. Army for 6 years.
Survivors include three children, Sandra Michelle Jones, Gainesville, FL; Alisa Ann Jones, Nashport, OH; Teri Pendley, Warsaw, OH; two sisters, Alice Fredrikson and Shirley Holden; 8 grand and 3 great grandchildren. A special thanks to Larry and Tammy Taylor as our extended family who cared for Dad for 11 years.
Funeral services are scheduled at the New Testament Baptist Church Friday, Feb 7th at 12:30 with Pastor Ledford Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Friday from 11:30 AM until the hour of service. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge.
