Herman J. Mau, Jr., 88, of Floral City, Florida passed away November 17, 2013 under the care of HPH Hospice in Lecanto. He was born in New York, New York on June 14, 1925 to the late Herman and Grace (Wolf) Mau, Sr. Herman was a WW II, U.S. Navy veteran and President of Maus Marineland Inc., where he was a commercial seaplane pilot. He arrived in this area in 1970, coming from New Hope, New York, and was a member of Floral City Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Madeline; son Herman;daughter Sandra Weed; and sister Muriel Reigi. Survivors include his companion Florence L. Cellini of Floral City. Other survivors include his children Chester Mau, Christine (Robert) Matijas, Tamara (Peter) Severson, and his sister Jeane Hines. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Private cremation arrangments are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, Florida.
