Jacoba Eich

JACOBA “GRANDMA” EICH, age 99, Crystal River, died November 9, 2013 at Crystal Gem Manor in Crystal River under the care of family and friends and Hospice of Citrus County. Jacoba was born on February 11, 1914 in Rotterdam, Holland to the late John and Jane (VanTouw) Axfield. Jacoba enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitching. She was a volunteer at Rock Crusher Elementary School and a member of Gulf-to-Lake Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Hugo Eich; her sons Richard and Robert Eich. She is survived by granddaughter Pam and her husband Wayne Burns of Crystal River; their children Tyler and Adam; her sister Jane Hammond of Largo and extended family including grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff of Crystal Gem Manor for the wonderful care they provided Grandma during her stay in their facility. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2013 between 2:00 and 4:00 PM at the home of Wayne and Pam Burns. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
