Florence M Reed

Florence May Knight Reed, age 85, Beverly Hills, died October 9, 2013 under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. Florence was born on October 24, 1927 in South Hanson, MA to the late Herman and Jennie (Smith) Wood. She was employed as a dietitian. Florence was a member of the Elks Lodge and past president of the Does. She was a gifted singer and musician, playing the piano and enjoyed the Citrus Jazz Society. She was an avid golfer. She was a member of Beverly Hills Community Church. Left to cherish her memory are her children Edward (Marie) Knight, Stephen (Judith) Knight, Jane (John) Gallagher, Cynthia (William) Poole, all of Beverly Hills, Linda (Marc) Bell, South Portland, ME
and Lisa Voveris, Taunton, MA; 19 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth Knight, her second husband of 28 years, Philip Reed, all of her siblings, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. A celebration tribute of Florence’s life will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory with Pastor Stewart Jamison officiating. Memorial donations in Florence’s memory are suggested to Hospice of Citrus County for the Hospice House in Lecanto, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464 in lieu of flowers.
