DONALD CHARLES WINTERS, age 93, Inverness, died September 30, 2013 under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Donald was born on June 2, 1920 in Nassau, NY to the late Charles G. and Jeannette (Groat) Winters. He served our country in the United States Air Force. Donald was employed by the Department of Defense as an electrical engineer. He enjoyed playing his guitar, was a sports car and ham operator enthusiast. He was an excellent card player and enjoyed playing cards with his many friends. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Linda (Nilson) Sabadin, Clearwater, FL, Donna (Paul) Vanasse, Rumney, New Hampshire, Susan (Rap) Rappold, Castleton, New York, Karen Winters (Michael Morris) Dedham, MA and stepdaughter Barbara (John) Baker, Inverness, FL; his sister Eleanor Aldridge, Olive Branch, MS; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Dorothy Winters; his second wife, Eugenia Winters, daughter Faye Domestico, brother Stanley Winters and sister Jean Montross. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private arrangements.
