JAMES “JIMMY” MICHAEL HUNTER, age 53, Crystal River, died September 24, 2013 at his residence. Jimmy was born on October 2, 1959 in Buffalo, NY to Greig and Esther (Carpentier) Hunter. He served our country in the United States Navy. He was employed as a foreman for DAB construction. Jimmy enjoyed building rockets and riding bikes with his son, fishing with his brother, riding his motorcycle and playing poker. He was a member of American Legion Post #155. Left to cherish his memory is his mother Esther Latz, Beverly Hills, his son Jeremy Hunter, both of Beverly Hills, his wife Melanie; brother Robert Hunter, both of Beverly Hills; sisters Beth Harrer, Tallahassee, Karen (Thomas) Tyler, Fort Lauderdale and Catherine Schwartz, Haines City. A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 3:00 PM at American Legion Post #155 in Crystal River. The family will greet friends in visitation from 2:00 PM until the service. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Jimmy’s memory may be made to the American Legion Post or family to offset funeral costs.
