Isabell Miller Merrill, age 90, Homosassa, formerly of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on September 9, 2013 at Life Care in Lecanto. Isabell was born on August 19, 1923 in Havre de Grace, MD to the late Lewis and Lizzie (Walker) Miller. She was a member of Grace Reformed Church in Havre de Grace. She married her husband Lee in 1946. They lived in Havre de Grace until 1976 when he retired and they relocated to Hernando, FL. They attended Main Street Baptist Church, where she was active in many ministries. They moved to Homosassa in 2006. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Bonnie Shields White of Homosassa, grandchildren Kim (Mark) Head and Aaron (Lisa) Shields, great-grandchildren Jennifer (Mike) Sorel, Marshall Head, Bianca Maura, Luis Maura and great-great grandchildren Mikal Sorel, Emilee Sorel and Ella Billups. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Lee in 2010, her daughter Marlene and a great-grandson Bryon Head. She was also preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters. A celebration tribute to Isabell’s life will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Leary Willis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The family will greet friends in visitation from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. Donations in Isabell’s memory are requested to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464 in lieu of flowers.
