Walter E “Mickey” McGuire

Walter E. “Mickey” McGuire, 88, of Lecanto, Florida passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 under the care of Hospice of Citrus County in Inverness, Florida. He was born on January 3, 1925, in Hobokon, New Jersey to the late Eustace and Clara (Klenke) McGuire. Walter was U.S. Army, WWII veteran, a Cathilic, and a commercial truck driver, who arrived in this area in 2006, coming from Whiting, New Jersey. He was a Life Member of the VFW Post #10087 in Beverly Hills, and an avid bowler who enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a dedicated husband to his wife of sixty-nine years, Virginia McGuire. Other survivors include one son, Thomas E. McGuire of Carlstadt, New Jersey; one daughter, Kathleen (James) Lynch of Beverly Hills; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Private cremation arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
