Eugene H Sass

EUGENE HENRY SASS, age 88, Inverness, died July 23, 2013 under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Eugene was born on April 16, 1925 in Brainards, NJ to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Pordan) Sass. He served our country in the United States Navy during WWII. Eugene worked for Ingersol-Rand Corporation as a crane operator for 44 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 years, Irene Sass; daughters Carol J. Cyphers, West Chester, PA and Judy Ann (Jay) Brown, Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren, Catherine (Matt) Simpson, Christopher Cyphers and Jennifer Brown. He was preceded by a brother, Frank Sass and sister, Mary Shramko. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 10:30 AM from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Inurnment with military honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
