Lawrence H Davis

Lawrence H. Davis, Jr., 94, of Inverness, Florida passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Arbor Trail Rehab & Nursing, Inverness. He was born on January 4, 1919 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Lawrence H. and Pearl (Williams) Davis. Lawrence was a Construction Electrician with Local 697 IBEW, in Hammond, Indiana, and arrived in this area over twenty-seven years ago, coming from Hammond. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army, WWII, and loved to dine out. He was a gentleman farmer, and enjoyed dabbling in investments. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen; one brother, James, and one grandchild, Ryan Davis. Survivors include three sons, Terry M. (Gail) Davis of Beverly Hills, Florida, Kim S. (Laura) Davis of Hebron, Indiana, and Jeffrey R. and significant other, Lisa, of Buda, Texas; three grandchildren, Laura, Rebecca, and Kendra; and ten great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013, 10:00 AM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness; the Reverend Greg Kell, officiating, with interment to follow at 11:30 AM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
