Matthew J. Rozalski, 88, Inverness, FL died May 12, 2013 in Citrus Health & Rehabilition Center. A native of Staten Island, NY., he was born on May 3, 1925, one of 6 children, to the late Stephen and Mary (Wilmovicz) Rozalski and moved to Citrus County in 1984 from Sarasota. He retired from the Sanitation Dept for the City of New York with 20 years of service. After moving to Florida, he retired from the City of Sarasota’s VanWezel Performing Arts Center. After moving to Inverness, he retired from the Citrus County School System. Mr Rozalski served our country in the US Army during WW II.

Matthew is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth Golway Rozalski and his daughter, Ellen Rozalski of Tampa. Other survivors include nieces and nephews, Michael, Steven and Donna Rozalski; Maureen LaTour, Walter and Kevin Golway, and Kathleen Kesselring; Honorary Grandchildren, Turner and Jordan Josey.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, May 18th at 11:00 AM from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Cremation will follow. Friends may call at the Chas E Davis Funeral Home Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the procession leaves for the cemetery at 10:45 AM. The family requests that memorials in Matthew’s memory be sent to Hospice of Citrus Co., PO Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464
