George H Gray

GEORGE H. GRAY, age 94, Inverness, died April 11, 2013 surrounded by his loving family and Hospice of Citrus County. George was born in Dilliner Greene County, PA on June 10, 1918 to the late John L. Gray, Sr. and Isabel (Hart) Gray. He served our country in the United States Army during WWII. George was employed by U.S. Phosphoric Company (now known as Cargill) as an industrial mechanic retiring after 25 years. He was a talented woodworker who could make anything from wood. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Joyce (Phil) Janus, Barry G. (Leeanna) Gray, Debbie (Darrel) Suchan; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren as well as his best pet bud \”Greg.\” He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Rosemary Gray in 1999. One of six siblings, he is the last in his family, preceded in death by his brothers Delbert and Jack and sisters Emma, Beatrice and Sarah. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Calvary Chapel of Inverness. A further graveside service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
