Eugene D Prince

Eugene D. Prince, 84, of Inverness, Florida passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at his residence in Inverness. He was born on August 24, 1928 in Robbinsville, North Carolina to the late William and Dovie (Ditmore) Prince. Eugene was very business minded; owning and operating several types of businesses, including automotive sales. He arrived in this area in 2003, coming from Otto, North Carolina, and was a Baptist by faith. Eugene enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, computer, and traveling. He was preceded in death by one brother Gid Prince and one sister, Arbutus Hollifield. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of twenty-two years, Carol Prince; two sons, Kenneth L. (Brenda) Prince of Bardstown, Kentucky, and Keith (Lynn) Carpenter of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three daughters, Kathy (Burlin) Gladden of Flat Top West Virginia, Kimberly (Karl) Baker of Okeechobee, Florida, and Melinda (Farris) Yates of Homosassa, Florida; five sisters, Violet Tavares, Iris Garland, Sue Disharon, Virginia Kunz, Virginia Jones; eleven grandchildren, Kelly, Stephanie, Pauletta, Calvin, Andrew, Kendall, Justin, Jason, Joey, Brandon, and Brooke; and numerous great-grandchildren. Private arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, Florida.
