Paul D. Roman

PAUL DAVID ROMAN, age 68, died February 6, 2013 under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. Paul was born on May 25, 1944 in Detroit, MI to the late Clifford and Leona (Lafferty) Roman. He was the owner/operator of his own shops, Roman’s Alternator and Starter in Boone, NC and Roman Electric in Sarasota. After retiring and relocating to this area in 2001, he worked as a security guard at Citrus Memorial Hospital for over five years. Paul truly enjoyed reading and working with his computer. He loved to travel with his wife and enjoyed bird watching from his porch. He was Catholic by faith. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 36 years, Patricia Roman; his sons, Michael (Karen) Roman, Sarasota, FL; Marty Jo Roman and Tony Roman; daughters Becky Roman and Shelly McConnell all of Richmond, IN and brothers Richard D. Roman, Chicago, IL, Rudy Roman, Sarasota, FL; several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald. A celebration of life memorial tribute for Paul will held on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. The family will receive friends in visitation from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. The family requests donations in Paul\’s memory to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464 in lieu of flowers.
