DOUG MACARTHUR GUTH, 90, died August 18, 2015 surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice of Citrus and Nature Coast staff in Lecanto. Doug was born July 13, 1925 in Baltimore, MD. to the late Charles and Myrtle (McClelland) Guth. He relocated to Inverness in 1996. Doug was a Navy veteran and proudly served during WWII as a radio operator. He was then employed as a General Foreman at Bethlehem Steel. Doug was a member of the Inverness VFW Post #4337, the Patapsco Masonic Lodge #183 of Dundalk, MD. and the Inverness Golf and Country Club. He also attended St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church. Doug was preceded in death by his first wife, Ida V. (Nemsick). He is survived by his second wife, Sue Guth, and 3 sons, Douglas and wife Kathy, Charles and wife Rosemary, Robert and wife Vickie, step-daughter Sherry Mazza and husband Michael, stepson Paul Taylor and wife Ginni, stepson Keith Taylor and wife Sally. Doug is also survived by 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Inverness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Citrus County.
