Dewana K. Smethurst

DEWANA KAY SMETHURST, age 65, Floral City, died January 1, 2015 under the care of Hospice of Citrus County. Dewana was born on December 11, 1949 in Richmond, IN to the late Dennis and Anna Lee (Garrett) Amyx. She was a homemaker who enjoyed listening to old time music and going antiquing. Dewana loved going to the beach, being outdoors and boating. She was an outgoing and social person who will be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory is her companion Norbert Bush; her sons Joe Zales (wife-Stacy) Montoursville, PA, James Lawson (wife-Jacqueline), Crestview, FL and Vincent Zales, South Williamsport, PA; sisters Genetia Pence (husband Richard) Yoder, IN and Lola Amyx, Monroesville, IN; grandchildren Gene, Michael, Derek, Avery, James, Julian and Jacob. She was preceded in death by siblings Albert Amyx and Joan Peck. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private arrangements.
