John “Jack” Edwin Sinton, b. December 6th, 1931, passed away from natural causes on January 14th, 2013 at the age of 81. A native of Collingswood, NJ and graduated Collingswood High School, Class of 1950. Married to Doris Theresa Sommers in November 1952 and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Jack was drafted in the Army for the Korean War, and served with valor during the closing stages of the war with the 25th Infantry Division, 27th Regiment (the “Wolfhounds”), within sight of Panmunjom on the front lines. Returning to the US after the war, Jack worked as a color preparation technician in the printing industry in the Philadelphia, PA area. Jack joined the USIA in 1972, and was a Foreign Service Officer with the US State Department until his retirement and served in Mexico City, Mexico and Beirut, Lebanon, eventually serving as director of mission in Manila, Philippines. Jack retired first to Marlton, NJ in 1995 and arrived in the Inverness, FL area in 2005. He is survived by wife, Doris; son John Robert Sinton of Inverness; daughter Cathy Doris Phillips of Cape May Courthouse, NJ; grandson Joseph Pagano and granddaughter Natalie Pagano, both of Rosedale, NJ. Private cremation services under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory.
