Nancy L Groves

Nancy L. Groves, age 85, Inverness, died March 5, 2013 at Citrus Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Nancy was born on February 15, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to the late George and Louise Ingham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene D. Groves in 1993 after 43 years of marriage and a son, Warren. Nancy was a “Navy wife” relocating and making a home for her family at the Naval Stations where her husband was stationed. She worked as a telephone operator at Homestead Air Force Base and finished her working career as a clerk in the small claims court in Miami. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Lutheran by faith. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Eugene D. Groves, II (Connie) Greer, S.C.; daughters Penny L. Zapf, Inverness and Nancy C. McAllister (William), Miami, 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Private arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
