LESLIE A. “LES” SNAPP, age 61, died January 10, 2013 at the Hospice of Citrus County care unit at Citrus Memorial Hospital under the loving care of the hospice staff and his family. Les was born on June 10, 1951 in Lexington, KY to the late Henry Lee Snapp, Sr. and Irene (Purvis) Snapp.
He served our country in the United States Marine Corp in the M.P. division. He later served as a police officer in the Dayton (OH) Police Department for over 12 years. Upon his relocation to Clearwater, Florida, he owned and operated the Savage Tan and Body Salon. He was known as a “jack of all trades.”
Les will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends in Clearwater. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 34 years, Barbara Snapp and son, Nathan Snapp, both of Inverness; his sisters, Sue (Fred) Morhman, Carrollton, VA and Jerrie Murphy, Clearwater, FL and sister-in-law, Dorcas Snapp, Inverness.
He was preceded in death by his only brother, Henry L. Snapp, Jr. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
