Richard Noel Waller, lovingly known as “Grandaddy,” died June 21, 2026. He was born on December 24, 1948, in Clewiston, Florida. Born on Christmas Eve, Richard carried throughout his life the warmth, joy, and generosity that made him so special to everyone who knew him.
Of all the blessings in Richard’s life, none were more precious to him than his wife, Debra. For 52 years, they shared a love rooted in faith, loyalty, and unwavering devotion. Through every chapter of life, they stood side by side—building a family, overcoming challenges, celebrating milestones, and creating a lifetime of memories together. Debra was not only the love of Richard’s life, but also his closest companion, greatest supporter, and best friend. Their love was the foundation upon which their family was built, and the bond they shared remained strong and steadfast throughout the years. To their children, grandchildren, and everyone fortunate enough to know them, Richard and Debra’s marriage served as a beautiful example of Christ-centered love, commitment, sacrifice, and partnership. The love they shared set a standard for future generations and showed all of us what it means to faithfully walk through life hand in hand.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Richard lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years. His military service reflected the dedication, discipline, and commitment that would continue to define his life and character for years to come.
Richard will be remembered as a loving and faithful man whose life was a testament to his devotion to God and his family. He led by example, showing kindness, integrity, humility, and compassion to everyone he met. His unwavering faith in the Lord guided his decisions, strengthened him through life’s challenges, and inspired those around him. Whether offering a helping hand, sharing words of wisdom, or simply spending time with those he loved, Richard made a lasting impact on countless lives. His gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and unconditional love will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Waller, his partner in life and love for 52 years. He also leaves behind his three sons, Chad Waller, Troy Waller, and Ryan Waller, who were blessed to learn from his wisdom, strength, and unwavering example.
Richard’s daughters-in-law, Talia Waller, Jessie Waller, and Mary Waller, were never simply in-laws to him—they were family, loved as daughters and welcomed with the same unwavering love, support, and devotion that he gave to his own children.
One of Richard’s greatest joys in life was being “Grandaddy.” He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Sailor, Shyanne, Sawyer, Star, Talon, Paislie, Tyden, Raife, Jalena, Aleigha, and Ashton. Whether sharing stories, offering wisdom, cheering them on, or simply spending time together, he treasured every moment with his grandchildren. They were the light of his life and a constant source of pride.
His heart grew even fuller with the arrival of his great-grandchildren, Olivia, Ella, Garrett, and Dustin. He cherished every smile, laugh, and memory they shared. Richard’s love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew no bounds, and nothing brought him greater happiness than watching his family grow and flourish through the generations.
Richard is also survived by his brother, Victor Waller of Istachatta, Florida, with whom he shared a lifelong bond of family and memories.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Albert G. Waller and Lois Cueno Waller; his brothers, Jerry Waller, Jack Waller, Alan Waller, and Milton Waller; and his sisters, Janice Waller and Nancy Inmon.
Richard’s family was the greatest blessing of his life, and the love he poured into each of them will continue to be felt for generations to come. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion to family will live on through all who knew and loved him.
The family finds comfort in knowing that Richard’s faith has become sight and that he is now resting in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While his absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him, they rejoice in the promise that they will see him again.
